Indiana Clean Air Car Check Announces Drive Through Renewal Service

October, 2008

The Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles entered into an agreement with ESP that allows motorists the opportunity to renew their vehicle registration at each testing site once their vehicle has passed the emissions test.

"Previously, motorists would visit a Clean Air Car Check vehicle emissions testing station for a test and then go to a BMV branch to register their vehicle. Our drive-thru renewal service eliminates an extra trip for our customers," explained ESP's Indiana Program Manager, Brian Kieffer.

According to Kieffer, customer convenience is a key factor in many aspects of the Clean Air Car Check vehicle emissions testing program. From the relatively short wait times for the actual testing procedure to the availability of technical resources and on-site drive-thru registration renewal services, Northwest Indiana's vehicle emissions testing program has realized significant improvements in customer satisfaction.
